Activities

The iRIC website distributes the software itself, along with solver manuals, case studies, and other technical information useful for utilizing iRIC. It also provides software update notifications and event information such as workshops, and develops and publishes applications utilizing open data.

We support various workshops aimed at promoting iRIC software and improving technical skills. These include basic iRIC software workshops, introductory courses in hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and river engineering, as well as AI fundamentals workshops. We also produce and deliver online training courses, and operate a personal trainer system for individualized learning support.

We continuously improve iRIC software functionality to enable more effective use while adapting to the ever-evolving IT environment. We are also advancing initiatives toward the utilization of new technologies, such as the fusion of numerical simulation and AI.

We organize events for university and graduate students to introduce how knowledge of hydraulic and river engineering is applied in professional practice. Through these activities, we aim to nurture talent interested in the field of hydraulic engineering and broaden the base of the entire discipline.
